According to
this report, Matthew Stafford is going to have season-ending shoulder surgery. This is the worst possible outcome of the game on Sunday. The Lions played valiantly and were in position to win a hard-fought game against the Jets when Stafford went down with yet another shoulder injury. Not only did this end up costing the Lions the game, but also the season. With backup Shaun Hill also injured the Lions will turn to Drew Stanton at quarterback. Stanton simply does not have the talent to lead the Lions to victories in the NFL. They might still put up a victory here or there because of their fast improving defense, but any hope of the playoffs is effectively gone. What does this mean for Lion's fans? It is time to look to the offseason. Our only hope is this report is wrong and Stafford will play Sunday against the Bills.
